Parents who participated in the choice application process before the Dec. 13 deadline should receive a notice of school assignment for the 2003-04 school year no later than mid March. The notification letter will be mailed and will contain information about school registration for students not currently enrolled in a Pinellas County school.

Parents with children entering public school for the first time in August 2003, such as incoming kindergarteners or former private or homeschool students who did not participate in the choice application process, should visit a Family Education and Information Center to begin new student registration. Bring the child's original birth certificate or a certified copy, proof of residency, such as a utility bill, and the child's Social Security number. For students entering grades 1 through 12, bring the child's most recent report card.

Family Education and Information Centers are located at 1101 Marshall St. in Clearwater and at 3420 Eighth Ave. S in St. Petersburg.
