HARTFORD, Conn. -- With leading scorer Diana Taurasi on the bench most of the game, top-ranked Connecticut rolled to its 62nd straight win, 75-51 over Syracuse on Wednesday.

Taurasi was in foul trouble early and picked up her fourth with 15:55 left in the second half. She did not return, but the Huskies didn't miss a beat, getting 32 points from the bench. Reserve forward Barbara Turner led UConn with 18.

The Huskies have the longest winning streak in women's history and are 26 victories shy of tying the UCLA men's team, which holds the NCAA record set from 1971-74. UConn has not lost since the 2001 Final Four.

NO. 5 KANSAS ST. 64, NEBRASKA 47: Kendra Wecker had 16 points and eight rebounds and Nicole Ohlde scored 14, including her 1,500th career point, as the Wildcats won their 18th straight at home.

NO. 7 TEXAS TECH 83, TEXAS A&M 38: Cisti Greenwalt had 21 points and 10 rebounds as the host Red Raiders gave coach Marsha Sharp her 499th career win.

NO. 11 TEXAS 72, OKLA. ST. 70: Stacy Stephens scored 17 of her 19 in the second half and Jamie Carey hit two key 3-pointers late as the visiting Longhorns rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to beat Oklahoma State for the seventh straight time.

NO. 23 RUTGERS 65, W.VA. 50: Cappie Pondexter scored 18 as the host Scarlet Knights won their sixth straight.

NO. 3 UT: Forward Shyra Ely is expected to play Sunday against Auburn after sitting out two games with a knee injury.

State

ROLLINS 72, ECKERD 61: Shannon Pranger had 13 points for the visiting Tars, who took a 13-2 lead and cruised.

LYNN 60, SAINT LEO 53: Joselene Jocurin scored a career-high 22, all in the second half, to lead the host Fighting Knights.

USF: The Bulls and Conference USA, in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, will honor former track and basketball star Theresa Manuel on Sunday in a game against Southern Miss. In London in 1948, Manuel became the first native Florida woman to compete in the Olympics. She taught and coached in Hillsborough County for 38 years.
