Lovers often raise toasts when they pop open bubbly on Valentine's Day. It's a grand custom at any meal when you lift a glass to thank, celebrate and remember. If stuck for a candidate, invoke the Royal Navy's Sunday salute to "absent friends (and those at sea)."
