BRANDON POETS AND ARTISTS GUILD: Sue Morris is the featured poet at the 7:30 p.m. meeting at Barnes & Noble, 122 Brandon Town Center Drive. New members are invited and encouraged to bring their own poetry to share. 661-9883.

THE HUMAN QUESTION: Author Hervery Cunningham Peoples will discuss and sign her book The Human Question: What People Believe About Evolution, Human Origins, and the Beginning of Life at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 122 Brandon Town Center Drive. Peoples is a geneticist who has studied the question of human origins for more than 25 years. Call 661-9883.

GOSPEL CONCERT: First Baptist Church of Gibsonton will present The Parkers, a Southern gospel group from Canada. The free concert is at 10:30 a.m. at the church at 9612 Indiana Ave., off U.S. 41, Gibsonton. 677-1301.

THE FABULOUS OHS: A husband and wife team, Sharon Lesley and David Ohrenstein, provide entertainment similar to that of Liberace and David Rubinoff. They will perform Broadway hits, popular classics and boogie at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Hall, 1910 S Pebble Beach Blvd., Sun City Center. A wine and cheese reception will be held after the performance. $15. 633-3500

WOMEN'S HEALTH: Dr. John R. Lee, author of What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause and What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Breast Cancer, will speak at 7 p.m. at Crosstown Community Church, 10130 Causeway Blvd., Brandon. Lee will share insights into how hormone balance can save lives. Cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. He will also speak in Tampa on Friday and in Clearwater on Saturday. 681-2444.
