Man, 63, is killed when cars collideBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published February 17, 2003 TAMPA -- A Tampa man died Saturday night in a car crash after his brother drove through a stop sign, police said. John Henry Mitchell, 63, died when the car he was in was hit on the passenger side by another vehicle, police said. Mitchell sat in the front seat as his brother, Frank Mitchell, 68, also of Tampa, drove northbound on N Albany Avenue in a 1990 Chrysler just before 11:30 p.m. Police said Frank Mitchell went through a stop sign on W Columbus Drive about the same time Peter Paradizo was driving westbound on Columbus in a 1991 Honda. Paradizo, 25, hit the Chrysler on its right side, police said. John Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Neither Frank Mitchell nor Paradizo was injured.
