Terry G. Council has been named vice president and branch manager for AmSouth Bank at the South Tampa location. Council held the same position at AmSouth's Sunset Point branch, Clearwater.
Trish Johnston has been promoted to vice president commercial lender for First National Bank of Florida at the Cleveland Street office, Clearwater. Johnston was an assistant vice president.
Jason Ramaizel has been named sales manager at the TownePlace Suites Tampa North, McKibbon Hotel Management Inc., Tampa. Ramaizel was a group sales manager with Hilton Hotels Corp./Doubletree Guest Suites, Tampa.
Stephen S. van Wert has been named executive vice president/programs division for Brown & Brown Inc., Tampa. Van Wert was executive vice president for Brown & Brown's lawyers' protector plan division.
Leah J. Laurent has been named human resources/benefits administrator for the Central Florida offices of the law firm of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen, Tampa. Laurent was benefits administrator for Arvida Realty Services, Clearwater.

Terese Gaffney and Barry A. McIntosh have been named to the board of trustees of the Community Service Foundation, Clearwater. Gaffney is vice president and trust administrative officer for SunTrust Bank, North Pinellas, Dunedin; McIntosh is general manager of the Weekly Challenger, St. Petersburg.
Ana Rabelo Wallrapp has been named to the board of the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay. Wallrapp is managing partner of Urban Studio Architects Inc., Tampa.
Kathy Castor has been named to the board of directors of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County. Castor is a Hillsborough County commissioner.
David Pelletz has been promoted to executive vice president of Westfield Homes of Florida, Tampa. Pelletz was vice president of sales and marketing for the Tampa Bay division.
