THE LOWDOWN: Lightning D Pavel Kubina and RW Martin St. Louis sat out Tuesday's practice. Kubina has a headache and neck pain after being checked into the boards Monday by Washington's Peter Bondra. St. Louis rested with various bumps and bruises. Both are expected to play. ... Thrashers Gs Byron Dafoe and Pasi Nurminen went on injured reserve because of groin strains and will be out at least a week. Frederic Cassivi has been called up from the minors. ... The Lightning is 2-0-1 in its past three and has won two straight at home. Its 16 home victories match last season. ... The Thrashers are 3-3-1 in their past seven games and 5-2-0 in their past seven on the road. ... Lightning C Brad Richards has a goal and seven assists in his past six games. ... With two assists Monday, Lightning C Vinny Lecavalier is second on the team with 237 career points. ... Atlanta LW Ilya Kovalchuk has no goals and one assist in his past four games. ... The Lightning power play is 4-for-15 in its three-game unbeaten streak (26.7 percent). The penalty kill is 8-for-8. ... Entering Tuesday, Richards was tied for second with 26 power-play assists. ... This is the fourth of five meetings (Lightning 1-1-0-1). ... The Lightning is 8-3-3-1 against the Southeast. The Thrashers are 5-5-2-3. ... Tampa Bay leads the series 7-6-4-1 and is 6-1-1-1 at home.
