MARIO DOMINGUEZ: The 2002 Champ Car rookie of the year, who drives for Herdez Competition, says, "Cars are my thing."

He owns five, a Ford Expedition he uses in Indianapolis, where his team is based, and at home in Mexico City he has a Ford Explorer, a BMW and a Porsche Boxster. But his dream car is on the way. He said last week he was awaiting delivery of a 1987 Ferrari.

"I always wanted that kind of Ferrari," he said. Dominguez said he's attracted to the car's look and the Ferrari racing tradition. "It's just the biggest name in cars," he said. And Dominguez expects the Ferrari to travel with him between Indianapolis and Mexico City: "If I leave it in Indianapolis for the winter I think I'll be sad."
