LOUISIANA FRENCH CUISINE: Mimi's Cafe has opened at 11702 N Dale Mabry Highway. The restaurant chain serves a variety of fresh foods for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Call 265-4460.

TEX-MEX RESTAURANT: Tijuana Flats Burrito Company has opened at 2782 E Fowler Avenue. Guests can visit the World Famous Hot Bar to sample sauces. The restaurant is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday, 11-1 a.m., Friday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday 12-9 p.m. Call 975-0800.

MUSIC STORE CLOSED: Turtles Music, 3804 W Linebaugh Ave., has closed.

WESTCHASE

WESTCHASE EATERY: Portobello Grill opened last week in Westchase, 12217 W Linebaugh Ave. The menu features a selection of cosmopolitan items including steak and pasta. Hours are Monday through Wednesday, 4-10 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, 4-11 p.m., and Sunday from 3-10 p.m. Call 814-9858.

ICE CREAM PARLOR: TCBY opened recently in Westchase, 12211 W Linebaugh Ave., serving yogurt, ice cream, cakes, pies, and smoothies. The store is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, 12-10 p.m. Call 854-1313.

CHINESE RESTAURANT: Kang's Garden is new to Westchase, 12221 W Linebaugh Ave, for dine-in and take-out. Customers can choose from a variety of Chinese foods from standard and diet menus. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday, noon-9:30 p.m. Call 814-5830.
