    Plumb House to be open for tours

    CLEARWATER -- Historic Plumb House will be open for free public tours during March.

    The original Florida Cracker-style house with period furnishings is at 1380 S Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Clearwater.

    The house was the birthplace of one of Clearwater's early public schoolteachers.

    Tours are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and March 8, 15, 22 and 29 and from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on March 6 and 20.
