POTTERY PAINTING: In your own home? It's possible now with Allison Hamm's travel pottery studio, Your Place Pottery. Hamm brings all her supplies to your home. Customers receive free pottery and discounts for hosting a party. Hamm opened Jan. 21; to schedule a party, call her at 380-4942.
TANNING TECHNIQUES: Executive Tans opened Feb. 5 at 2517 State Road 60 E in Valrico. The franchise specializes in tanning but also sells a variety of accessories like lotions, eye wear and body jewelry. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Last tan is 30 minutes before closing. 661-8269.
DRESS IT UP: Your window, that is. Window Wonders opened in May at 105 N. Falkenburg Road. The showroom features different types of window treatments, such as verticals, wood blinds, shudders, draperies and more. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. 689-2009.
TRAVEL THE WORLD: Bloomingdale Travel moved in December and is now at 611 Bloomingdale Ave., Suite A. Travel agents can help plan any type of trip, but they specialize in cruises and tours. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. 684-6511.
