BRANDON -- The Brandon Junior Woman's Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at their clubhouse, 129 S Moon Ave. Mohammed Chehab, the vice president of programs for the UN of the USA, an offshoot of the United Nations in New York, will discuss programs that help women and children of the world. RIVERVIEW -- Nancy Donlon and John Mathias will be honored Tuesday for their volunteer work and dedication to the Pleasant Living Mobile Home Park, 215 Pleasant Blvd. Both will receive gift certificates. Ken and Winnie Thompson will receive the title of Property of the Year for representing the community standards of a clean, neat and well-maintained home and lawn.

SUN CITY CENTER -- The Greater Sun City Center Golf Cart Safety Committee will conduct the annual golf cart safety inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17-19 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd. Residents of Sun City Center, King's Point and Cypress Creek are urged to have their carts inspected and registered for free. SUN CITY CENTER -- The Military Officers Association of America will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sun City Community Hall on S Pebble Beach Boulevard. After a business meeting there will be lunch and a program by David Suban, retired civilian intelligence analyst for Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base. VALRICO -- The Parent's Club of St. Mark United Pre-School is sponsoring a Home Based Business and Craft Show. The group is looking for vendors to participate in the show at 9 a.m. April 5 at the church, 2914 Lithia Pinecrest Road. Spaces are 12 feet by 12 feet and cost $20. Items include crafts, home decor, cosmetics and scrapbooking. Call 643-7148.
BRANDON -- A student art show will display the artistic talents of young adults in the community throughout March. Art students from east Hillsborough area high schools will have two- and three-dimensional work on display at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Drive. An awards reception is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The Women's Service League is sponsoring the show and reception. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 685-8888.
BRANDON -- Art created by members of the Brandon League of Fine Arts will be on display at various locations throughout the month of March. Wilma Hall's acrylic and watercolors will be at the Valrico State Bank, 1815 State Road 60; Cheri Webb's oil pastels will be at the Central Bank of Tampa, 1018 W Lumsden, Brandon; and Robert Allen Sargent's photography will be on display at Republic Bank, 404 Oakfield Drive, Brandon.
BRANDON -- Members of the Alafia River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will celebrate American Women's History Month with a lunch meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday at the home of Diane Atkins. Lady Made will be the program and members should bring an item made by themselves or a female family member. Period costumes may be worn by those in attendance. BRANDON -- Brandon resident and regent of the John Donaldson Jr. Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Colonists (NSDAC) will lead the chapter's meeting at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Steak and Ale Restaurant, 204 N Westshore Blvd. Joan Gregory, project director of Native American Initiative at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, will be the guest speaker.
