Okay, admit it: You've swiped a little, or not so little, souvenir before checking out of a special hotel. You're not alone. A number of actors have recently 'fessed up to this common vice:
"I have two glasses from that hotel in Madrid, the Ritz. I was there on a press junket and couldn't go see (Picasso's) Guernica, so I took the glasses. They're really pretty." Annabella Sciorra, The Sopranos.
"A wooden Indian from a little hotel in New Hampshire. I'm not going to tell you the name, because they're still in business. My brother still has it. He uses it as a clothing tree." Gordon Clapp, NYPD Blue.
"An ashtray from the Hotel Roma in Paris. The French have this intangible thing -- this simplistic, elegant style -- and I thought maybe I could recreate it in my house with this ashtray." Emily Procter, CSI: Miami.
"A pillow from a hotel in Tokyo. I went to promote a movie, and I took a girlfriend with me, and she loved the pillow. I told her to stuff it in her duffel bag, they'll never know." Amy Brenneman, Judging Amy.
"Jennifer gets a lot of free products. But every time we leave a hotel, she packs her suitcase with the shampoo and the soap. We don't have any room for it. But she says it's for when we travel. (But) when we travel, we go to places where they already have that. We have drawers and drawers full of this stuff. She's the thief in the family, not me." Scott Foley, A.U.S.A., married to Jennifer Garner, of Alias and Daredevil.
"I was doing a movie on location in Wilmington, North Carolina, and I brought my VCR with me. I hooked it up through the pay-per-view box so I could order any movie any time for free. I stole free movies for four months, and I also recorded movies and sent them home to my friends. I'm not saying what hotel. I've already got a record down there!" Ethan Embry, Dragnet.
"When I used to smoke, I stole this amazing ashtray from the Four Seasons in Seattle. I still have it, but I don't smoke anymore, so it's in a cupboard. It's gorgeous." Tiffani Thiessen, Fastlane.
"The CD from the W Hotel. I love it. There's some clubby stuff, mellow stuff. It's a great CD." Trista Rehn, The Bachelorette.
"I took the rubber duckie from the bathroom at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica. I collect rubber duckies." Busy Philipps, Dawson's Creek.
"I take a lot of bath mats because my dogs chew them up. I take tons of shower caps, and I take the soap if it's a really fancy soap." Kathy Griffin, Celebrity Mole.
"I was at a Four Seasons in Boston that had the most gorgeous padded hangers -- silk and satin ones -- and I stuffed them in my bag. Watch, now they'll call me. . . . Thank you very much!" Audra McDonald, Mister Sterling.
