ARCHITECTURE

Bessolo Design Group Inc., St. Petersburg announced the following appointments: Charles Kitzmiller, architect-project manager; Andy Clark, project manager; Tom Belanger, mechanical engineer; and Brad Burton, structural engineer. Kitzmiller was regional director with Neslon and Associates, Tampa; Clark was a project manager with O'Keefe Architects, Clearwater; Belanger was a mechanical engineer with Best, Griner & Associates Consulting, St. Petersburg; and Burton was a project engineer with KPFF Consulting Engineers, Phoenix.

BANKS

R. Stan Kryder has been named executive vice president and a member of the state's senior management group for AmSouth Bank. Kryder will be based in Tampa. He was senior vice president/wholesale services division executive for First Union Bank, Charlotte, N.C.

EDUCATION

Eileen Rodriguez has been promoted to associate director at the University of South Florida's Small Business Development Center, Tampa. Rodriguez is the center's international trade specialist, Hispanic community liaison and professional development coordinator.

ENVIRONMENTAL

David A. Wiley has been named a principal at Leggette Brashears & Graham Inc., Tampa. Wiley was a senior associate.

FINANCE

Steven Chiou has been named executive vice president and head of secondary marketing for Market Street Mortgage, Clearwater. Chiou was executive vice president/capital markets for CTX Mortgage Co., Dallas.

LEGAL

Seth Rodner has been named treasurer of the Federal Bar Association's national criminal law section for 2003. Rodner is a shareholder at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa.

Ronald A. Christaldi has been appointed to serve as co-chairman of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce's cultural affairs committee. Christaldi is a shareholder at the law firm of de la Parte & Gilbert, Tampa.

C. Graham Carothers Jr. and Owen P. McGill have been named partners in the law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLC, Tampa. Both were associates at the firm.

MARKETING

Kevin Spooner has been named Web/multimedia designer for Alliance Communications Inc., Tampa. Spooner was an independent contractor.

REAL ESTATE

Brian P. Rettig has been promoted to vice president of CB Richard Ellis Inc., Tampa. Rettig was a senior associate.

RESTAURANTS

Family Sports Concepts Inc., the franchisor of Beef O'Brady's Family Sports Pubs, announced: Nicholas Vojnovic has been promoted to chief operating officer; Mike Howard has been named chief financial officer; and Scott Taylor has been named vice president of franchise sales and operations. Vojnovic was senior vice president of corporate development; Howard was senior financial officer with B.R. Guest, New York; and Taylor was senior director of operations for Shells Seafood Restaurants, Tampa.

TECHNOLOGY

Wendy Brown has been named director of public relations for Applied Media Technologies Corp., Clearwater. Brown was an associate producer and assignment editor at WTVT-Ch. 13.

Ron Salvo has been named vice president, global solutions delivery for Skyway Software Inc., Tampa. Salvo was senior vice president of professional services at DWL Inc., St. Petersburg.

UTILITIES

Bill Habermeyer has been installed as vice chairman of Enterprise Florida Inc., the state's public-private economic development organization chaired by Gov. Jeb Bush. Habermeyer is president and chief executive of Progress Energy Florida, St. Petersburg.
