Woman jailed after report of bomb threatBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published March 3, 2003 CRYSTAL RIVER -- A Tennessee woman was charged with making a false report, a felony, Saturday night. Employees at a Crystal River restaurant said the woman claimed a bomb she had hidden in a paper bag would explode if they didn't feed her for free. Crystal Nell Brown, 48, of 619 W View Road, Hickory, Tenn., was arrested by deputies who arrived at Denny's restaurant, U.S. 19 N, after employees called 911. Brown remained Sunday in the Citrus County Jail, where her bail was set at $5,000.
