'Noles snap skid against Clemson

TALLAHASSEE -- Florida State junior forward Tasheika Morris scored 23 and senior forward Katelyn Vujas added 12 points and eight rebounds as the Seminoles snapped a six-game losing streak with a 68-59 win over Clemson on Sunday.

The Seminoles (16-11, 8-8), who finished .500 or better in the ACC for the third time since joining in 1992, are the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament at Greensboro, N.C. They open against Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Clemson is 13-14, 5-11.

TCU 74, USF 57: The Horned Frogs (15-13, 8-6 C-USA) used a 16-0 run to open the second half, for a 56-36 lead, to put the game out of reach for the visiting Bulls. Senior Aiya Shepard scored 12 in her final game for USF (7-20, 2-12).FLORIDA: The Gators face No. 17 Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday at Alltel Arena in North Little Rock, Ark.

NO. 2 DUKE 86, N.C. STATE 60: Alana Beard had a game-high 22 points for the host Blue Devils (28-1), who are the first to go 16-0 in the ACC in consecutive seasons. Kaayla Chones had 14 points to lead the Wolfpack (11-16, 6-10).

NO. 3 TENN. 84, UK 69: Gwen Jackson scored 25 for the visiting Volunteers (26-3, 14-0 SEC), who won their 17th straight. SeSe Helm scored 25 for Kentucky (11-15, 4-10), which lost to UT a 22nd straight time.

NO. 17 VANDY 72, NO. 4 LSU 60: Chantelle Anderson scored a game-high 24 for the host Commodores (19-8, 9-5 SEC). Doneeka Hodges scored 14 to lead the Tigers (24-3, 11-3), who never led in the second half as Vanderbilt went ahead 70-57 with 1:02 left.

NO. 10 TEXAS 70, NO. 7 TEXAS TECH 67: Jamie Carey scored five in the last 30 seconds to lift the visiting Longhorns. Carey finished with 17 points for Texas (21-5, 14-1 Big 12). Plenette Pierson scored 22 for Texas Tech (22-4, 12-3), which shot 28-for-70.

VIRGINIA 69, NO. 8 UNC 59: LaTonya Blue had a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds for the host Cavaliers (15-12, 9-7 ACC). The Tar Heels (25-4, 13-3) pulled within 46-44 with 7:08 left, then Virginia sealed it with a 10-0 run.

NO. 11 MISS. ST. 65, AUBURN 56: LaToya Thomas had 21 points and 11 rebounds for the visiting Bulldogs (22-6, 10-4 SEC). Doceide Warren added 13 points. Nicole Louden and Mandisa Stevenson each scored 10 to lead the Tigers (17-10, 5-9).

NO. 12 PURDUE 78, IOWA 68: Shereka Wright scored 25 for visiting Purdue (23-5, 12-4 Big Ten), which overcame 19 turnovers. The Hawkeyes (14-13, 6-10) pulled within four midway through the second half before Purdue pulled away.

NO. 13 MINNESOTA 76, MICHIGAN 63: Lindsay Whalen scored 21 to lead the visiting Golden Gophers (23-4, 12-4), who finished second in the Big Ten. Jennifer Smith scored 15 to lead the Wolverines (12-15, 3-13).

NO. 15 PENN ST. 76, WIS. 55: Kelly Mazzante scored 35 and the host Nittany Lions (23-7, 13-3) clinched the Big Ten regular-season title. Ebba Gebisa scored 17 in a reserve role for the Badgers (7-20, 5-11).

NO. 16 S.C. 91, MISS. 68: Cristina Ciocan had 23 points for the visiting Gamecocks (21-6, 9-5 SEC). Amber Watts had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead Ole Miss (12-15, 1-13).

NO. 21 ARKANSAS 68, BAMA 57: Shameka Christon scored 25 for the host Razorbacks (20-9, 7-7 SEC), who sealed it with a 13-6 run with less than four minutes left. Beth Vice scored 18 to lead the Tide (13-14, 3-11).
