UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Don't even talk to Nikolai Khabibulin about how well he is playing.
The Lightning goaltender is 5-0-1 in his past six starts with a .957 save percentage. He was 3-0-0 last week with a .978 save percentage and a 2-0 shutout of the Ducks, for which he was named the NHL's player of the week.
"Who cares?" Khabibulin said after Monday's practice. "Wins are more important now."
It was the second time Khabibulin was honored this season. He has been player of the week four times, three with Tampa Bay.
Goaltender Daren Puppa was named four times, three in 1995-96 while leading the Lightning to its only playoff appearance. The other Tampa Bay player named was Daymond Langkow in 1997.
