DADE CITY -- A man who left his young children unattended pleaded guilty Monday to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
David Wayne Cresong, 39, walked out of his Land O'Lakes home Aug. 1 after a heated dispute with his girlfriend, according to police reports. When deputies arrived at the Joseph Land home, they found two toddlers asleep on the couch and an infant crying, the reports said.
The girlfriend was not charged, nor was she named in reports because the case involved a domestic battery charge, which was dropped.
Cresong was charged with child neglect but pleaded Monday to a lesser charge -- contributing to delinquency -- that carries six months of probation. He also must pay court costs and other fees.

WESLEY CHAPEL -- Authorities are looking for a man who exposed himself Sunday afternoon to a 13-year-old girl.
The girl, whose name was not released, saw the man about 4 p.m. while walking to the Publix supermarket at 5400 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to meet her father, according to a report.
The man said "Excuse me," then pointed to his genitals, which were exposed, the report said. The man then got into a purple car, possibly a Dodge Neon, and drove away, the girl told deputies. He was described as a white man in his mid 30s.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-854-2862.

The boy punched Teresa Rodriguez in the face, the report said. Then he punched Hector Rodriguez in the face and grabbed Rodriguez's chain, the report said.
The teen was charged with two counts of simple battery and one count of robbery by sudden snatching.
14-year-old girl hurt in car crash
DADE CITY -- A 14-year-old girl was airlifted to St. Joseph's hospital Sunday evening after a car she was in ran into the porch of a home.
The car hit the home at 12139 Elkins Road about 9 p.m., said Dade City Fire Rescue Capt. Joey Wubbena. The girl's head hit the windshield, he said. She also complained of back pain and soreness in her right leg, he said.
"Her vitals were all okay, but it looks like she was banged up pretty good," Wubbena said.
The girl's name was not available Monday, although the Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
