NEW TAMPA -- New Tampa plans to host another mayoral forum before the runoff election.

Pam Iorio and Frank Sanchez, the two remaining mayoral contenders, will be invited to a March 19 debate at 7 p.m.

Organizers have not announced a location. They are hoping to reserve Liberty Middle and Freedom High Schools, or the YMCA.

Curtis Stokes and Gwen Miller, who are in a runoff for the District 1 City Council seat, were invited to debate as well.

Station 21 welcomes new addition: Pasco fire engine

CROSS CREEK -- Firefighters at Station 21 on Cross Creek Boulevard are welcoming a new Pasco County engine to their firehouse. Pasco County firefighters are using the station temporarily while their new home is constructed in Meadow Pointe.

The Pasco County team arrived about a week ago. They plan to enter their new Pasco County home in four months.

Pasco County assistant fire chief Chris Allend said that the Pasco engine would answer calls in the Hillsborough County portion of New Tampa if other engines were tied up and vice versa.

"It's a reciprocal type of arrangement," Allend said.
