DALLAS -- Kevin Garnett had 31 points and 18 rebounds, and Wally Szczerbiak scored eight straight during a tight stretch in the fourth quarter as the Timberwolves capped a rough road trip with an impressive 92-83 victory over the Mavericks Monday night.

Dallas, the league's highest-scoring team at 102.6 points per game, had a season-low 55 after three quarters, then got hot in the fourth. Consecutive 3-pointers by Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Finley finished an 18-point comeback and tied the score at 71 with 5:19 left.

JAZZ 83, HEAT 73: Karl Malone scored 29 as visiting Utah ended a two-game skid and bounced back from a 24-point loss at Dallas on Saturday. Miami coach Pat Riley, who has had run-ins with officials this season, was ejected on a second technical foul in the third quarter when he disputed a foul call.

Earlier, the Heat activated center Ken Johnson from the injured list and placed center-forward Sean Marks on the list.

HAWKS 95, CLIPPERS 86: Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 11 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter and all of host Atlanta's starters scored in double figures for the first time in 22 games. Abdur-Rahim also had 15 rebounds.

HORNETS: Point guard Baron Davis came off the injured list after missing 20 games with torn cartilage in his left knee.

RAPTORS: Forward Lamond Murray will not return this season after tearing a ligament in his right foot that required surgery in October.

SUNS: Dan Majerle was added to the team's Ring of Honor in a boisterous halftime ceremony.

HALL OF FAME: James Worthy and Robert Parish, who squared off in the classic Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals of the 1980s, could enter the Hall side by side. They were among 21 finalists announced by the screening committee that considers the men's college and pro game. The inductees will be announced April 7.

Others nominated are Gus Johnson, Maurice Cheeks, Dennis Johnson, Adrian Dantley, Bobby Jones, Chet Walker and Walter Davis in the player category; Guy Lewis, Norm Stewart, Eddie Sutton, Lefty Driesell and Bill Sharman in coaching; and Meadowlark Lemon, Jerry Colangelo, Vic Bubas, Tex Winter, the late Junius Kellogg and the late Chick Hern as contributors to the game. College official Hank Nichols was proposed as a referee.
