Girlfriend arrested in man's strangulationBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published March 13, 2003 TAMPA -- Hillsborough deputies on Wednesday charged a 32-year-old woman who they say strangled her boyfriend after an argument, put his body in a garbage bag and disposed of it in a shopping cart. Katara Temika Paris, of 2918 Ramada Drive, Apt. 154, faces a charge of second-degree murder, as well as tampering with evidence. Authorities said Paris and her 37-year-old boyfriend, David Trainor, got into an argument Sunday evening that turned physical. They said Paris shoved Trainor, and he hit his head on a marble windowsill before falling to the floor. They said she then took her boyfriend's belt from his pants and strangled him with it. After she put his body in a garbage bag, she wrapped the bag in duct tape and put the body in a shopping cart, deputies said. The cart was found early Monday by a pizza delivery man along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Paris remained in custody Wednesday without bail at the Hillsborough county jail.
