Tampa man found dead in jail bedBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published March 17, 2003 TAMPA -- An inmate died on Sunday while in the care of medical staff at the Orient Road Jail. Officials found Dana Lee O'Hearn, 35, lying face down in his bed in the jail's medical unit just before noon, said Hillsborough County sheriff's spokesman Danny Tewmey. O'Hearn suffered from a medical condition, and attempts to revive him failed. Tewmey did not know the nature of the medical condition. O'Hearn, of 14922 N Rome Ave. in Tampa, was jailed after his arrest for manslaughter in June 2002. The Sheriff's Office does not suspect foul play. The medical examiner is expected to determine the cause of death today.
