ST. PETERSBURG -- A bookkeeper for a local neurosurgeon has been arrested on charges of stealing $25,166 from Gastroenterology & Oncology Associates to pay her mortgage and car loan.

Lucinda B. Gray, 47, an employee of Dr. Casey Gaines, wrote company checks to pay her mortgage, car loan and insurance, said Detective Robert W. Somers of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Gray, who also uses the name Lucinda Fuller Sigmon, is charged with scheming to defraud, a second-degree felony. She is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bail.
