Panthers add WR Proehl to new offense

CHARLOTTE, N.C -- The Panthers added their fourth new face to the offense Monday, signing free-agent receiver Ricky Proehl to a three-year deal.

He was introduced alongside new running back Stephen Davis, who signed a five-year deal Friday. They join quarterback Jake Delhomme and lineman Doug Brzezinski.

"It's a great organization that is headed in the right direction," said Proehl, who spent the past five seasons with the Rams. "They made a lot of improvements last year defensively and now they are turning their attention offensively." Carolina's offense was next-to-last in the league last season in total yards and third from the bottom in points.

General manager Marty Hurney said the team has made an offer to Titans receiver Kevin Dyson and wants to meet with former Giants cornerback Jason Sehorn.

BILLS: Receiver Bobby Shaw, who spent last season with the Jaguars and caught a career-high 44 passes for 525 yards and one touchdown, signed.

BRONCOS: For the first time in 21 years the team will hold summer training camp at team headquarters, not at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

FALCONS: Former Bills linebacker Keith Newman reunited with ex-Buffalo coach Wade Phillips, signing a three-year deal. Also, ex-Packer and free-agent cornerback Tyrone Williams signed a five-year deal and tight end Brian Kozlowski re-signed for one season.
