Colorado
Sophomore center David Harrison on CU getting an at-large bid:
"So many years of just watching the tournament and finally actually being in it, it's going to be really weird. I remember I used to skip school to watch the tournament, because it's on all day. Now kids are going to be watching me, skipping school."
Junior guard/forward Blair Wilson on what the school's first NCAA berth since 1997 means:
"To be rewarded as a team for guys sticking it out when guys were transferring, all of the controversy, makes it that much better."
Senior forward Stephane Pelle upon hearing the Buffaloes had been selected and were going to Tampa:
"It's not like I'm going to be jumping up and down, but there's a smile on my face."
Michigan State
Coach Tom Izzo, whose team's schedule strength is rated No. 12 by the RPI, on the Spartans' opening-round game:
"Are we prepared to play anybody and everybody? We've played enough good teams that I'm not worried about who we might run into. I'm worried more about us."
Sophomore guard Chris Hill on MSU's 7-6 record against teams in the NCAA Tournament:
"That's definitely the reason coach schedules the teams we play. We played two No. 1 (seeds, at Kentucky and at Oklahoma), beat one of them (Kentucky) and lost to the other by two points. So we should be ready."
Sophomore forward/guard Alan Anderson on the team coming off a loss to Ohio State in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament:
"I think we're going to respond to that loss pretty well. We know it's one-and-done time. And Colorado plays an aggressive style, just like a lot of Big Ten teams. So I think we're going to respond to that challenge."
