SUSPENSE: The suspense thriller Wait Until Dark has its final performances this weekend at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. Show times are 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 at the box office. Call 563-1333.

PLAY: The Owl & The Pussycat, a comedy directed by Fran Barg, will be performed at the Art League Art Center Theater today through Sunday. Show times are 8.p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 at the door and $10 in advance at the art league box office. The play is produced by Gulf Islands Civic Theatre as a fundraiser for the art league's building fund. Call 746-7606.

QUILTS: A quilt show hosted by three quilting guilds from Citrus County will be today and Saturday at the National Guard Armory, U.S. 19 and Venable Street, Crystal River. Some 120 quilts will be displayed, and about 80 will compete for judges' awards. The show is produced by Cracker Quilters, Creative Quilters and the Applique Society. Other activities include a boutique of smaller quilted items, such as pillows and tote bags, and quilt supply vendors. Admission is $4 and show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Call Charlotte Gore at 795-3322.

CURTAIN CALLS

AUDITIONS: Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River, will have auditions for the musical Company at 7 p.m. on March 31 and April 1. The play is described as an honest, witty and sophisticated look at relationships. Roles available for six men and eight women of varying ages. All cast members must be able to sing. Call 563-1333.

LOOK AHEAD

BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Citrus County Library System will hold a spring book sale March 28 to April 1 at Kings Bay Plaza, 204 SE U.S. 19 (near Big Lots), in Crystal River. More than 14,000 books, CDs, audio and videotapes, records, magazines and puzzles will be displayed in 30 categories such as fiction, westerns, mystery, children's, large print, computers, travel, cooking and foreign language. The book sale will begin with a preview sale from 5 to 8 p.m. March 28. A $5 admission fee will be charged for this night only. The sale will continue 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. March 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 31 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 1. Proceeds benefit Friends of Coastal Region, Central Ridge and Lakes Region libraries and Citrus County Library System. Call Leslie Fraze at 860-2566.

Creedence Clearwater Revival, at 7 p.m. March 29 at Rock Crusher Canyon Amphitheater, 275 S Rock Crusher Road. The band includes Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, the rhythm section of the original Creedence, but is without lead singer, guitarist and songwriter John Fogerty. Tickets are $25 and $45. BLUEGRASS: The Withlacoochee River Bluegrass Jamboree will be March 28 to 30 at Bluegrass Park, State Road 40 west of Dunnellon. Performers include the Marksmen, Third Tyme Out, J.D. Crowe and the New South. Tickets are $12 to $40 for adults and $3 to 10 for children.

BARBERSHOPPERS: The Citrus County Barbershoppers will have their 18th annual spring concert at 3 p.m. March 30 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The concert will be a cross section of gospel, rock 'n' roll and early American classics, all done barbershop style. Special guests will be the Humdingers and Street Fair. ONE SINGULAR SENSATION: The musical A Chorus Line continues Thursdays and weekends through Sunday at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill.
