LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Donta Richardson scored 24 and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi added 14 and 12 rebounds to lead Wyoming past Eastern Washington 78-71 in the first round Thursday night.
The game was scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed by a massive snowstorm. Eastern Washington was stuck in Denver for two days, and at one point the players had to push the team's chartered bus out of a drift.
The Cowboys (21-10) face North Carolina (18-15) on Monday in Chapel Hill.
Chris Hester scored 19 to lead Eastern Washington (18-13), playing in its first Division I postseason tournament.
Wyoming used two 7-0 runs in the first half to take a 41-33 halftime lead. Richardson scored 15 in the half.
FSU 77, FIU 51: Junior Tasheika Morris scored a career-high 26 to lead the host Seminoles in the first round. Florida State (17-12) visits Auburn in a second-round game 4 p.m. Sunday. The Golden Panthers finished 19-11.
