3 crash victims still in hospitalBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published March 23, 2003 BROOKSVILLE -- A 30-year-old Brooksville woman who was thrown from her pickup truck Friday along with two of her children was in fair condition Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The two children also remained in the Tampa hospital. Their conditions were not available. The Highway Patrol said Shelly Ward was traveling west on Centralia Road about 5:50 p.m. with her three children. Ward drifted onto the north shoulder of the road, overcorrected and then traveled to the south shoulder, where the truck hit a concrete bridge support and she and two of the children were ejected, the FHP said.
