Folk art covers a lot of ground these days, having traveled a great distance from the naive landscapes of Grandma Moses to the sometimes darker terrain inhabited by mental patients and convicts. But the art on view at Clayton Galleries, 4105 S MacDill Ave., Tampa, is from the more traditional genre, "happy art," as owner Cathy Clayton describes it and evidenced by this quirky sculpture by O.L. Samuels of carved wood and glitter. The show, curated by Jeanne Kronsnoble, has been a popular one, with work for sale ranging from $50 to $3,000. See it before it closes on Saturday. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. (813) 831-3753.
