SOUTH FORK -- J.R. and Bobby are nowhere to be found, but South Fork is going up just south of Big Bend Road on U.S. 301.

Suarez Housing recently opened a model home there.

The Primrose II is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a dining room or den in 1,745 square feet and a two-car garage. The price for the home starts at $138,400.

Standard features include a transom window over the front door; arched doorways; plant shelves in the family room, kitchen and above the entry to the master bedroom; and oversized windows in the breakfast nook and a formal dining room/den. A coat closet in the foyer, pantry in the kitchen and linen closet in the hallway leading to two bedrooms increase storage options.

The master bedroom suite features his and hers walk-in closets, a double vanity, glass-enclosed shower and garden tub. A pocket door separates the bath area from the bedroom.

The Primrose II model, with such upgrades as ceramic tile, a leaded glass window in the front door, screened-in lanai and a built-in microwave oven, would sell for $148,988.

Suarez offers nine other floor plans at South Fork. They range from the three-bedroom, two-bathroom 1,401-square-foot Hibiscus that starts at $127,000 to the four-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2,456-square-foot Woodvine that starts at $176,400.

At build-out, South Fork will have 688 homes.

In addition to Suarez, builders for the 320 homes in Phase I include Maronda and Morrison. Phase II also will include KB Home and Freemarr, says John Ryan, chief financial officer of South Fork's developer, Metro Development. They'll break ground on Phase II at the end of this month.

The clubhouse, with a fitness center, pool and activity court, are scheduled to be completed in August.
