GATORS AT COURTHOUSE: The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum, 1 Courthouse Square, Inverness, is featuring a new exhibit, "Alligators: Dragons in Paradise," through May 28. The exhibit includes artifacts such as alligator shoes and clothing, reproductions of skulls and a simulated nest complete with eggs. A park ranger at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, Mike Werwetz, will discuss alligators and their habitats at 1 p.m. Saturday on the second floor of the museum. Free admission. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Call 341-6436.

BARBERSHOPPERS: The Citrus County Barbershoppers will have its 18th annual Spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. The concert will be a cross section of gospel, rock 'n' roll and early American classics, all done Barbershop style, which is a capella. Special guests will be the Humdingers and Street Fair. Tickets are $10 in advance at all chamber of commerce offices and most local banks. Call 726-5234, 726-5360 or 637-3285. Tickets are $12 day of show.

CRAFTS: The Women of Sugarmill Woods will have its annual arts and craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Southern Woods Country Club, 1501 Corkwood Blvd., Sugarmill Woods. Call 382-4522.

CURTAIN CALLS

AUDITIONS: Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River, will have auditions for the musical Company at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Roles are available for six men and eight women. Singing ability is required. Call 563-1333.

LOOK AHEAD

DINNER THEATER: Gulf Islands Civic Theater will present The Amorous Ambassador as dinner theater April 4 to 6 at Andre's Restaurant in Citrus Hills. On April 4 and 5, dinner is at 5 p.m. and the show is at 6. At the April 6 performance, dinner is at 2 p.m. and the show is at 3. Tickets are $28. Call Andre's at 746-6855.

QUICK TRIPS

BLUEGRASS: The Withlacoochee River Bluegrass Jamboree is today through Sunday at Bluegrass Park, State Road 40 west of Dunnellon. Performers include the Marksmen, Third Tyme Out, J.D. Crowe and the New South. Tickets are $12 to $40 for adults and $3 to $10 for children.

'60s POP: Paul Anka fans can hear him sing Put Your Head On My Shoulder, You Are My Destiny, Lonely Boy, Puppy Love and dozens of other classic pop hits during his concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Silver Springs, 1 mile east of Ocala on State Road 40. The concert is included in the admission price, which is $19.99 for Florida residents.
