THE LOWDOWN: The Bruins, chasing Washington and being chased by the Islanders, are seventh in the East and in pursuit of one of the eight playoff berths. Two more points would put them in the postseason. ... Boston C Joe Thornton is third in the NHL in points with 96 (35 goals, 61 assists). ... Lightning G John Grahame has yet to face the Bruins, who traded him to Tampa Bay Jan. 13 for a fourth-round draft pick. ... Boston G Jeff Hackett (finger) and LW Sergei Samsanov (wrist surgery) are out. ... This is the teams' fourth and final meeting this season. Tampa Bay is 2-1. ... Tampa Bay is 9-24-7-1 vs. the Bruins, 1-14-4-1 at Boston. ... Tampa Bay is 14-15-8-2 on the road but 4-0-1-0 in its past five, one shy of its team-record six consecutive unbeaten road games.
