PITCHERS: Rays -- LHP Nick Bierbrodt (0-1, 12.96); Red Sox -- LHP Casey Fossum (1-1, 7.45).

WORTH NOTING: Bierbrodt allowed eight hits and seven runs over four innings against the Red Sox on April 3 and didn't do much better in his second start against Baltimore on April 9. ... Fossum beat the Rays on April 3, allowing three runs on six hits in five innings. Overall, he is 2-1 with a 6.35 ERA against Tampa Bay. ... Temperatures in the 50s are expected for game time. ... The Rays were 3-6 at Fenway Park last season and are 14-23 overall.
