Two people arrested, drugs recovered in sheriff's stingBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published April 19, 2003 WEEKI WACHEE -- The Hernando Sheriff's Office confiscated a large quantity of drugs in a sting operation near Weeki Wachee early Thursday, sheriff's spokesman Lt. Joseph Paez said. Joseph B. Tucker of Winter Haven and Jacqueline M. Forcier of 160 Oak Lane Drive, near Weeki Wachee, were arrested after an investigation led authorities to believe that Forcier was selling drugs, Paez said. Vice and narcotics officers executed a search warrant at Forcier's home about 8 a.m. Thursday and found an assortment of narcotics, including 3.5 grams of methamphetamines and drugs such as Xanax and Valium that require a prescription. According to a sheriff's report, Tucker had taken the drugs to Forcier's home earlier in the day. Tucker, 39, was arrested and charged with eight counts of illegal drug possession and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was being held Friday at the Hernando County Jail in lieu of $46,500 bail. Forcier, 38, was charged with five counts of drug possession and was being held Friday in lieu of $20,000 bail.
