Further evidence of the decline of Western civilization is displayed by The Real Cancun (R), another big-screen version of a popular MTV reality series. The first was Jackass last year, in which it was cool to perform dangerous, demeaning pranks and stunts with only a tongue-in-cheek warning for kids not to try them at home. Now it's time for The Real World to show viewers what FCC standards won't allow on the air. The Real Cancun turns a voyeuristic eye upon vacationing college students in the Mexican paradise where tequila flows freely and swimsuits come off easily. No stars, no script, but just look at those abs! Rick de Oliveira's debut as a director (the straight-to-video Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold? doesn't count) looks like required viewing for parents with children begging to go to spring break anywhere. Whether anyone younger than 21 should see The Real Cancun is up to their conscience and theater employees checking IDs at the entrance. The Real Cancun screened too late for Weekend's deadline, but a review will be published on Friday's Page 2B.
