LAND O'LAKES - A brawl at a Land O'Lakes apartment ended Wednesday night with two roommates going to jail, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said.
The fight at 4408 Land O'Lakes Blvd. started about 11:45 p.m. in the kitchen, the report said. David Alan Holmes, 43, took a swing at his roommate, Brian Keith Jones, 32, and then Jones struck back, the report said.
The fight spilled onto the porch, and then Jones tried to walk away, the report said. But Holmes picked up a baseball bat and chased his roommate to the farm store at U.S. 41 and Bell Lake Road, where deputies found them, the report said.
Holmes was charged with aggravated assault and affray, and remained Thursday at the county jail in Land O'Lakes in lieu of $10,500 bail. Jones was charged with affray and also remained at the jail Thursday in lieu of $500 bail.Consumption of mushroom juice puts man in hospital

PORT RICHEY - A 47-year-old Hudson man was arrested Wednesday after authorities said he forced a 10-year-old girl to have sex in Port Richey in 2000.
David Grant Welling, 6819 Clark St., was arrested on charges of capital sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation. He was being held without bail Thursday at the Land O'Lakes jail.
The girl, now 13, told Detective Eric Seltzer of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office that Welling forced her to watch a pornographic movie with him and then took her into a bedroom, held her down and had sexual intercourse with her. She said on several other occasions, Welling touched her inappropriately. The sexual battery occurred between January and December of 2000, an arrest report states.
Welling admitted to touching the girl and asking her to "fool around" on one occasion when he was drunk, Seltzer wrote in his report. Welling, a laborer, also said that the girl is not a liar, and if she said it happened, it did, Seltzer wrote.
