ST. PETERSBURG - Admiral Farragut Academy was somewhat of an enigma entering Friday's meet.

The Blue Jackets were on spring break during the Keswick Christian Invitational and are not affiliated with the Bay Conference.

The unfamiliarity made the district meet a reunion of sorts for Admiral Farragut. The outcome, though, was familiar as the Blue Jackets scored 2051/2 points to win their third title in a row.

Andrew Duff accounted for most of Admiral Farragut's points, winning the 110- and 300-meter hurdles and the triple jump.

Other big scorers for the Blue Jackets were John Biffar (first in the 1,600 and second in the 3,200) and Frank Barnes (first in the long jump and second in the high jump).

Admiral Farragut also won the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. In all, the Blue Jackets showed their balance and depth with top-four finishes in each of the 17 events and multiple place-winners in eight.

Keswick Christian's Blake Halverson and Shorecrest's Mike Tylman also were multiple winners. Halverson won the discus and shot put and Tylman won the 400 and 800 meters.

Indian Rocks Christian, which won the Keswick Invitational and the Bay Conference, finished second with 123 points. Clint Hamm had the Golden Eagles' best performance, winning the 100 and taking second in the long jump, triple jump and 300 hurdles. Jimmy Davis (high jump), Nate Holden (3,200) and the 4x100 relay team also were winners for Indian Rocks Christian.

Other individual winners were Northside Christian's Erik Anderson (pole vault) and Keswick Christian's Jacob Speakman (200).
