Got a minute ... with Toby Hall

By MARC TOPKIN, Times Staff Writer

Q: You're a pretty big Lightning fan; if you could be a Lightning player who would you most be like?

A: Probably Nikolai Khabibulin, because the goalie is somewhat like the catcher with the gear and the blocking.

Q: What is your favorite piece of catcher's equipment?

A: My glove. I've got to have a good feeling glove. I probably should have said my cup, huh?

Q: What are the biggest differences between California and Florida?

A: Traffic. Weather. Prices.

Q: If you could have just one CD in your car, what would it be?

A: I like everything, so maybe a mix. But right now, it's Baby Einstein. That's soothing music to calm the baby down.

Q: Speaking of 3-month-old Tayden James, how are you as a diaper changer?

A: Solid. I did the first one, and that was a mistake because I showed my wife, Karra, that I could do it.
