OLDSMAR - A three-vehicle accident on Tampa Road on Monday morning injured four people and slowed traffic in both directions for about an hour.

The accident occurred about 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of Tampa Road and Sunflower Drive.

Kristie Stormer, 49, of Oldsmar, was traveling east on Tampa Road in a 2001 Mercedes convertible when she turned left onto Sunflower Drive and into the path of a 1999 Cadillac, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The Cadillac, driven by Lyman Price, 80, of Tampa and the Mercedes collided.

A third vehicle, a 1986 Chevrolet dump truck driven by Gary Young, 47, of Oldsmar then hit the Cadillac.

Price was carrying his wife, Frances Price, also 80. Deputies had to cut away the top of the Cadillac to remove her. The couple was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital where they were treated and released.

Stormer was taken by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition Monday evening. She was charged with violation of right of way.

Young was not hurt, but his passenger, Joseph Colado, 35, of Oldsmar, suffered minor injuries. He was not taken to a hospital.
