ORLANDO - A mother was charged with aggravated child abuse after allegedly leaving her two small children in a locked car at a library parking lot.

Orlando police arrested Vilaine Augustin, 19, on Thursday.

Police said Augustin's 2-year-old daughter managed to open the car door and get out, but her 1-year-old son was left inside, possibly for as long as three hours.

Police said the boy, discovered by a cousin of Augustin who came to pick up the car, was taken to Florida Hospital Orlando and was expected to fully recover.
