Leslie Noble, Pat Buckley and Lauren Unbekant are Gams on the Lam, who describe themselves as "part Beckett, part Looney Tunes and all-woman . . . traditional European clowning with a dose of girl-group attitude." They perform Get Lost in the Shimberg Playhouse of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $15.50. "Sex and Sensibility' returns

Emilia Sargent, Lauren Olipra and Mary Ross star in Sex and Sensibility, a revue by Gulfport playwright Gil Perlroth that premiered two years ago at Gorilla Theatre in Tampa. "It's not the most memorable entertainment you've ever seen, but it's pleasant, and you're glad you went," Mike Wilson wrote in a review for the St. Petersburg Times. "The revue explores the difficulty single women have finding a man, particularly one who uses soap. Guys cheat, they lie, they don't call - you've heard it before. But most of the time Perlroth makes the subject feel fresh."

Sex and Sensibility, which went on to play a New York cabaret for seven months, is being performed this weekend at the Catherine A. Hickman Theatre in Gulfport. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 and $18 and are available at two Gulfport stores: Eileen's Resale Boutique, 5401 Gulfport Blvd., and Small Adventures Bookshop, 3107 Beach Blvd.. For credit card purchases, call Eileen's at (727) 322-1422.

Celebrating Russian royalty with song

Czarist Russia in the 18th century is the setting for Elizabeth of Russia, a new operetta with music by David Ohrenstein and a libretto by Sharon Lesley. It's about Elizabeth Petrovna, daughter of Peter the Great, and her life as the empress of Russia. With a cast of singers and actors from the Tampa Bay area, the production will feature Amy Schwartz Moretti, above, concertmaster of the Florida Orchestra, playing a 1731 Stradivarius that belonged to the Romanovs, the ruling family of Russia until the revolution. A collection of Faberge eggs will be on display.

Elizabeth of Russia is presented in connection with the 100th anniversary of St. Petersburg and the 300th anniversary of its counterpart in Russia. Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Palladium. Tickets: $8-$12. (727) 822-3590.
