A closer look: one Hillsborough church

LOCATION: 9201 Lazy Lane, Tampa; 908-1165.

SERVICES: Cafe-style worship service and Kidz Church at 10 a.m. Sunday; small groups at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

LEADERSHIP: Pastor Rob Keller

HISTORY: The church was founded in 1997 after Keller, who was ordained in 1995, and his wife, Lisa, moved to Tampa from the Christian City Church New York pastoral team. It was established with the vision to touch lives with God's love, forgiveness and healing. The Gospel is presented to this generation in a way that is fresh, relatable and contemporary, yet without compromise.

MEMBERSHIP: 50

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Operates a "Loaves and Fishes" food pantry; distributes bottled water at beaches and parks; presents seminars to help strengthen family relationships and equip individuals for everyday life challenges.

NOTABLE: Recently published its first praise and worship CD, As Is. A praise and worship concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. May 23 at Trinity College, 2430 Welbilt Blvd.
