LITHIA - Hillsborough sheriff's deputies on Friday identified the man killed in a construction accident Thursday afternoon at the Tampa Bay Regional Reservoir site.

Deputies said Rogelio Vasquez, 49, was killed about 1:30 p.m. while unloading sections of steel pipe from a delivery truck.

Investigators said one piece of pipe, weighing several thousand pounds, fell on top of Vasquez, killing him.

The Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident.
