CLEARWATER - A free course on cooperative association operations will be 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Best Western Clearwater Center Conference Room, 21338 U.S. 19 N.
The course is taught by the Suncoast chapter of the Community Associations Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides education and information about co-ops, condos and homeowner associations.
The course focuses on the legal foundation for co-ops and covers self-management, bidding, maintenance, accounting and legal services, and board meetings.
