Bowl of peas.
Call 'em green or English, plain old peas fresh out of the hull taste like spring itself, as good as snow peas or sugar snaps, maybe better. Canned, dried and frozen work, but nothing is as crisp and green as fresh peas in a soup (hot or cold), with scallops or in a salad. The season's closing out, so get 'em soon - ripe Florida tomatoes too.
