The Florida International Museum is bringing in a huge new exhibit filled with mazes and optical illusions, aimed at families. Maze of Illusions and Puzzles, which will occupy 4,000-square feet, opens Friday and continues through Aug. 10.

Visitors will be able to negotiate two mazes, one with optical illusions and the other with puzzles.

On Saturday, to kick off the exhibit's run, the museum will have Family Fun Day, with free admission for children 10 and younger, free hot dogs and soda and entertainment for families. Other current exhibits include "Famous Women through Quilts," "John F. Kennedy: The Collection" and "When the Cold War Got Hot."

The museum is at 100 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and $6 for ages 6-18. (727) 822-3693 or www.floridamuseum.org
