CENTENNIAL OPERA GROUP will view a video of La Fanciulla del West (The Girl of the Golden West) at 12:30 p.m. today at Centennial Library, 5740 Moog Road, Holiday. The production is by the Royal Opera of Covent Garden and stars Carol Neblett in the title role and Placido Domingo as her would-be lover. Admission is free. Bring a seat cushion.

GREEKFEST, a celebration of Greek food, singing and dancing, will be today through Sunday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 9426 Little Road, New Port Richey. The musical group The Islanders will perform at 7 p.m. today and Saturday; Greek folk dancing will be at 8 p.m. all three nights. The St. George Dance Troupe will perform at 6:30 p.m. all three nights and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Greek food specialties will be served noon to closing each day. Cooking demonstrations will be given at 3 and 7 p.m. today and Saturday. Tours of the St. George church building will be given at 3 p.m. each day. There will also be children's games and activities.

ORANGE BLOSSOM COUNTRY MUSIC Association will have a benefit dinner show at 5 p.m. Saturday at Chester McKay VFW Post 7989, 7445 Chester McKay Dr. (Veterans Village), New Port Richey. Dinner is being prepared by the members and features a variety of dishes. The show will have different kinds of music - pop, country, 1940s and others. Tickets are $10 for dinner and show. COUNTRY SINGER TYLER ALEXANDER will headline at 9 p.m. Saturday at Bronco Bill's, 3535 U.S. 19 (Universal Plaza), New Port Richey. Alexander was named "Most Promising Male Vocalist" in the International North American Country Music Association in 2002. He recently performed with Lee Ann Womack at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. "DEEP ROOTS: REFLECTIONS OF ANCIENT FLORIDA', an art exhibit and lecture series, continues through June 30 at Pasco Arts Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. The second discussion, "The Coming of Critters," led by Elizabeth Neily and Herman Trappman, will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The exhibit features paintings by Ms. Neily, computer-created art by Trappman, ceramic reproductions of Southeastern mound builders by Marty Hawthorn, organic jewelry by Yona Dunning and Kay Welch, and palm weaving by Lou Galgano. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

AUDITIONS FOR EURIPIDES' Alcestis will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S. Pinellas Ave. (Alt. 19), Tarpon Springs. In Greek mythology, Alcestis offered herself as a sacrifice to save the life of her rather ungrateful husband, King Admetus. Alcestis is often cited as the "model wife" in literature. Production dates are July 11, 12 and 13. Spoken parts are for four women and five men of all ages are available. Sunstate Opera will perform the choral parts. Theodore Grame is the director. INTERVIEWS FOR DIRECTOR, music director, choreographer and pianist for the November production of Annie Get Your Gun are being conducted by the nonprofit Arts in Motion youth theater and arts education company of central and east Pasco County. Performers will be ages K-12. Auditions will be held in August, with the director and music director setting a rehearsal schedule to take place after that.
