CORAL GABLES - Ryan Braun tripled, doubled twice and scored three runs as Miami defeated Florida 13-10 in the championship game of the NCAA region at Coral Gables on Sunday.

Miami (42-15-1), which extended its NCAA record by winning a region for the 10th straight year, faces N.C. State in this weekend's Super Region.

Danny Figueroa and Erick San Pedro also had three hits apiece for Miami.

Ben Harrison and Mario Garza each had three hits and two RBIs for UF, eliminated by Miami for the second straight year.

Richard Giannotti's three-run home run highlighted a five-run third inning for Miami, which built a 12-3 lead by the sixth.

Florida (37-21-1) rallied against a depleted Miami bullpen, scoring five in the sixth and one in the seventh to draw within 12-9.

Harrison, Garza and Jeff Corsaletti hit home runs in the five-run sixth for the Gators, but reliever Shawn Valdes-Fauli got Brian Rose to ground into a double play with the tying run on deck.

"When we were up 12-3 and all of sudden they put up the five-spot, I didn't feel safe," Miami coach Jim Morris said.

Florida forced the second game by winning the opener 15-5, despite being outhit 18-14.

"We deserved to be here and we showed we can play with anybody," Corsaletti said.
