Orlando wins; next up: Storm

The next time the Storm plays Orlando, the winner will go to the ArenaBowl.

Orlando beat New York 69-62 in a quarterfinal Sunday to set up a semifinal between the second-seeded Storm (13-4) and No. 3 Predators (13-4) at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.

"It doesn't get any better than that," Storm coach Tim Marcum said. "This is what it's all about, archrivals in the semifinals. The only thing that would be better if it was the final game."

Tampa Bay beat Detroit 52-48 in a quarterfinal on Saturday to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 1998, when it lost to Orlando in the ArenaBowl. The Storm and Predators split their regular-season series this year.

The game marks the first time in the postseason Orlando quarterback Jay Gruden, younger brother of Bucs coach Jon Gruden, has faced the team he led to four ArenaBowl titles.

Tickets will be sold at the Times Forum box office, Ticketmaster locations or at (813) 301-6600. Tickets range from $15 to $105.

Top seed San Jose (13-4) hosts No. 6 Arizona (12-6) in the other semifinal at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Arizona beat Los Angeles 70-63 in Sunday's other quarterfinal.

The ArenaBowl is June22 at the highest remaining seed.
