CLEARWATER - City commissioners have approved conceptual design plans for sweeping upgrades to Coachman and Station Square parks. The proposal for Station Square Park adds a new restaurant and ornate wrought iron-look fencing. At Coachman Park, a bayfront marina and restaurant are planned, as well as a 450-space parking garage with rooftop tennis courts. Both were approved Monday. The designs, made public last week with color renderings, will be refined. The marina, for instance, which is planned on both sides of the new Memorial Causeway Bridge, will be designed by a marine consultant.
